Two classic Maine cookbooks are finally back in print in two new better-than-ever editions. Come join Rabelais and Down East Publishing to celebrate:

Marjorie Mosser's Good Maine Food, & Marjorie Standish's Cooking Down East

Down East Publishing has paired each of these evergreen Maine recipe collections with one of Maine's brightest culinary lights: Melissa Kelly and Sandy Oliver.

Good Maine Food by Marjorie Mosser was originally published in 1939. This new edition has an introduction by renowned food historian Sandra Oliver, and is filled with her annotations and observations.

Marjorie Standish's Cooking Down East, was originally published in 1969. It is now back in print with a new introduction and annotations by James Beard Award winner Melissa Kelly, chef/owner of Primo restaurant in Rockland.

Both Melissa Kelly and Sandy Oliver will be speaking briefly and signing copies of the books, which will be for sale. Melissa Kelly will also serve up some delicious food from Primo, inspired by Marjorie Standish and her book.
