On Friday March 5th from 6-8 Rabelais will host an opening reception for the collection of Dr. Lou Jacobs of Mug Shots 1899-1954.
A motley assortment of cooks, bakers, waiters, dishwashers, bartenders and butchers who lost control and broke the law. The arrested were murderers, thieves, pimps and fugitives. Some were simply drunk & disorderly. Many of the documents are from San Francisco, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. All of the mug shots are original.
