Maine Restaurant Week brings the launch of a new film series, FoodFilms at One Longfellow Square. We are very excited to be helping our good friends at One Longfellow and the Maine Institute of Food and Drink bring a short list of classic food films to be presented with a culinary accompaniment.

The first film will be "Big Night" the 1996 film directed by Stanley Tucci and Campbell Scott about two brothers who struggle with their Italian restaurant in New Jersey in the 1950's. "Big Night" will be screened on Sunday, March 8th with food from Paciarino, the new pasta place on Fore Street. Tickets will be $30.09 and include the film and a dinner by Paciarino, with a cash bar, and some other surprise goodies. Going forward, the series will take place once a month with the schedule including "Diner", "Tampopo" and "Babette's Feast".

Each night the cuisine will be prepared by some of Portland's best, including the Miss Portland Diner, Food Factory Miyake and Evangeline. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at One Longfellow Square. There will be seats for 50 lucky folks, doors open at 6:00 and the entertainment will start at 6:30.
