A short overview of the peach and nectarine, including a history, instructions on soil, propagation, training, and treatment for pests and mildew. There is a lost of varieties, including some "new and valuable varieties" recently arrived from America and France. The author was Superintendent of the HS Garden at Chiswick, and formerly gardener to the Duke of Norfolk at Arundel Castle. Fine in blind-decorated and gilt-titled green cloth.
