Interior age-toning as usual with this printing; text block sound. In blind-ruled red cloth, over red morocco spine, compartmented with gilt title and four gilt decorations; marbled endpapers; hinges expertly restored. Ink stamp to title page and half-title of the grand culinary suppliers Dupont et Malgat who were also the publishers of Saulnier's Repetoire de la Cuisine. Bookplate to front pastedown of the Carl Sontheimer Foundation. Sontheimer was the creator of the Cuisinart, and a significant collector of culinary books.
