The author is identified only as "the Good Samaritan" but later works published by Skinner & Hall indicated Skinner as the author. A 19th century domestic medical guide. Chapters include: Doctor at Home; Miscellaneous Department of Health, Medical Hints, Etc.; Diseases of Infants and Children; Roots and Herbs; Every Lady's Cook Book; Choice Medical Compounds: Valuable to Every Family; Indian Recipes; Ladies' and Gentlemen's Polite Teacher; Hints to Young Ladies; Chairman's Guide. Lacking the rear wrapper panel, otherwise complete. Moderate foxing throughout.
