The Virtual Boston Book Fair 2020

Approximately fifty items chosen for the 2020 Virtual Boston Book Fair, November 12-14. New England culinary history is well represented, including exceptional works by Fannie Farmer and Mary Lincoln. Ephemera includes trade catalogues and menus, and a bound collection of correspondence related to social event given by a prominent Boston family. There are Early American books by Frederick Nutt on confectionery and Frederick Butler on agriculture, English cookery books including Robert Smith's Court Cookery, Huddleston's New Method of Cookery, and a blend of the American and English in the first US edition of Hannah Glasse's Art of Cookery. There are also rare books and paper related to drink, and a very much more recent, but quite lovely cookbook from a Newfoundland rod and gun club.
