A small but encyclopedic work on all types of goods sold by the grocer, from apples to axle grease, cider to cigars. The author includes a section on Adulteration, advising that informed grocers (informed by reading this volume of course) can avoid adulterated goods. Clean and sound; in original brown cloth, gilt-titled at the spine. Light wear at extremities, cloth a bit faded. Near very good.
