Hugo Zeimann is identified as "Steward of the White House" and in earlier editions as the "one time caterer for that Prince Napoleon who was killed while fighting the Zulus in Africa". Text block age-toned, but not brittle. Hinges sound. In publisher's cream oil cloth, titled and decorated in black. very light rubbing to extremities, otherwise near fine. Much better than is usually seen for this title. Two ownership inscriptions to the free front endpaper verso.
