A handsomely designed and printed cocktail menu for the Belvedere Bar at the Hotel Reina Cristina in Algeciras, Spain. Algeciras, in Cadiz, is adjacent to Gibraltar and was once considered the southernmost health resort in Europe. Opened in 1901, the Hotel Reina Cristina served a mostly elite clientele, and visitors included Arthur Conan Doyle, Winston Churchill, Orson Welles and Charles deGaulle. This bar list is quite complete, with sections of Cocktails, Cobblers, Fizzes, Sours, Champagne/Espumosos, Sherries & Ports (including a Solera 1847 Gonzalez Byass), Highballs & Limonadas, Flips, Egg Noggs, Frappés, Toddies, Grogs, Licores, and Brandies/Cognacs. The rear wrapper panel offers Afternoon Tea, L'heure Bleue, and Por La Noche Musicay Baile. Fanciful vignettes accompany each page. In stiff, cream-colored wrappers with scalloped edges. Fine.
