Octavo (20.5 x 14 cm.) xvii, [1], 279, [1] pages. FIRST EDITION. "This is a record of 121 luncheons and dinners where good food and fine wines were enjoyed in the company of appreciative friends. There is an index of hosts and guests, an index of wines, and a chronological schedule of vintages" (Gabler). Reddish-brown cloth with gilt-titled leather spine label. Some light soil and adhesion marks to endpapers, otherwise quite clean and handsome. In the scarce dust jacket, depicting Simon at table with two male dining companions. Jacket is edge chipped, and the spine faded. Very good in a near very good jacket. With the bookplate and ownership signature of Philip Wallace Nash, a member of the New York Stock Exchange and of Simon's Wine and Food Society.
