Duodecimo-sized booklet, stapled in wrappers (17.8 x 10.4 cm.), 47, [1] pages. Illustrated with a half-tone image of the medals awarded to Rumford. Advertisements. Date of publication extrapolated from an advertisement for the Rumford Complete Cook Book (not published until 1908). Early edition. A product cookbook, featuring recipes containing Rumford Baking Powder. The recipe sections include: Bread, biscuit, rolls, gems, etc.; Muffins, waffles, short cake, gingerbread; Griddle cakes and drop cakes; Fritters, doughnuts, crullers; Pastry and pies; Cake and cookies; Cake fillings and frostings; Puddings; Pudding sauces; Recipes for the chafing dish; and Recipes for teas, receptions, etc. The great Fannie Merritt Farmer, Principal of the Boston Cooking School, was the compiler of the recipes. Internally clean and sound; pale green wrapper, titled in red and black is slightly toned. Hole drilled for original cord for hanging. Near fine. [Brown 4125].
