The sixth cookbook from the great James Beard (1903-1985), the "Dean of American Cooking" or perhaps "America's first foodie" as he has been described by Mitchell Davis, founder of Kitchen Sense, and formerly of the James Beard Foundation.
In publisher's gray cloth, with a small bit of abrasion to the head of the spine. Dust jacket faded at the spine and with a bit of edgewear, otherwise near fine. One of the scarcer James Beard titles. With an ownership inscription to the free front endpaper, "Jim and Betty Campbell Lewis, Blowmedown Farm, Cornish New Hampshire"
