The author was headmaster of a Brooklyn school at the time of this compilation, but had roots in Lucania or Basilicata. His prior work, Italian Cooking for the American Kitchen, was very well received. The recipes cover a wide range of mushroom uses, including a good number of mushroom sauces. Very clean internally; in publisher's blue cloth, titled in white. In an attractively designed dust jacket, with a tiny bit of edgewear, otherwise near fine.
