Translation of the subtitle: "useful to all lovers of good food, and generally to all those who want clarification on the art and how to prepare certain tasty dishes". Samuel Chamberlain's copy, with the wrappers covered in a patterned paper and glassine, and sporting a spine label hand-titled by Chamberlain himself, in his highly recognizable hand. Half inch closed tear to the top of head of the front hinge. Some light staining and offsetting from wrappers to endpapers, otherwise very good or better.
