Collection of recipes for "tropical" ingredients from around the world, arranged ingredient with chapter headings such as, the Kumquat, the Coconut, the Pineapple, the Banana. Each section has an introductory essay on the ingredient. The author’s intention was to feature ingredients easily found in the states, which had at one point seemed "strange fruits of distant lands." Only the slightest of rubbing to the color illustrated cover panel, otherwise fine.
