The author, Paul Mégnin (1868-1952) wrote at least three books on game, this one focused on recipes, a second surveying the rare game breeds of France, and his first, an instruction manual for raising game, both animals and birds. He was perhaps best known for a series of nearly a dozen books on dogs. Some age toning throughout, otherwise very good. In publisher’s color-illustrated wrapper in roto-gravure, with a design by Robert Salles. Some wear to extremities; one inch closed tear to rear panel. Overall near very good. Scarce.
