Includes a notable section titled, "American Mode of Cooking Indian Corn, Pumpkins, &c." with seventeen recipes, including Indian Cake or Bannock, Green Indian Corn, Indian corn or Maize Pudding, baked, Boiled Maize Pudding, Pumpkin and Squash Pie, Carrot Pies, Bird’s Nest Pudding, American Souse, Salt Fish, and American Mince Meat. A squareback binding in textured, brick-colored cloth, gilt-titled to the front board and blind-titled to the rear. Text block shaken, otherwise near very good.
