Kingston, Ja. [Jamaica]: Printed by Gleanor Co., 1946.
Booklet, stapled in wrappers ( x cm.), 39, pages. Advertisements. Stated “7th edition”. Originally published in 1926 as a charitable cookbook, and carrying the statement, “compiled by Mrs. F.S. Edmonds and sold for the benefit of child welfare in Jamaica.” Later editions did not credit the compiler. Recipes include Ox-tail Soup, Turtle Steak, Baked Cow Heel, Callalu and Eggs, Wild Cucumber Savoury, PawPaw Water Ice, Pimento Dram, and Calabash Pickle. Some light soil to rear panel of wrapper; front panel photographically illustrated with image of a woman on the way to market. Very good. [OCLC locates no copies of this issue (and seven copies of all printings combined)].
