A charming collection of anecdotes and verse about the nose, including much about the "rubricated nose" and the alcohol or foodstuffs that bring on this condition. Ye Sette of Odd Volumes was a scholarly dining club, founded in 1878 by antiquarian bookseller and publisher Bernard Quaritch (publisher of Fitzgerald's Rubaiyat of Omar Khayam) and others. Printed blue wrapper soiled at edges, separated at the front hinge and starting at the rear; otherwise very good. Scarce.
