A facsimile of what we are told was an early 19th century manuscript cookbook, though it remains a mystery how the compiler of a book created in the early 19th century could be the mother of the woman who issued this printed version in 1939. Some dampstaining and light soiling to endpapers; a bit of pencil scribble to rear pastedown. Paisley patterned decorated cloth, with tile label pasted down to front board. General near very good.
