FIRST TRADE EDITION, simultaneous wrappered issue, of this foundation of American vegetarian cookbooks and classic of counterculture cooking. It follows two editions, both authored and self-published by the collective in a comb binding. In this first trade edition, Katzen appears on the title page for the first time, and is for the first time credited as compiler. Moosewood has gone on to be honored as one of the thirteen most influential restaurants of the 20th century by Bon Appetit, and received a James Beard Foundation "American Classic" award. The cookbook went on to become one of the bestselling cookbooks of all time. Some light staining and spotting to the printed wrappers; spine sunfaded. Small stain to bottom edge of the first few leaves. Otherwise very good in publisher's brown plastic comb binding.
