The Art of Table Setting Ancient and Modern, from Anglo-Saxon days to the present time, with illustrations and bibliography. For the use of schools, colleges, extension workers, women's clubs, etc.

New York: The De Vinne Press, 1921.

Stapled booklet in wrappers (22.5 x 15 cm.), 65, [1] pages. Illustrated throughout. Brief bibliography. Evident FIRST EDITION. Though not mentioned in the publication info, or elsewhere, Gorham silverware is named in the preface, which leads us to believe this is a promotional book, as are so many works on the subject of table setting. The year prior to this publication the author, Claudia Quigley Murphy, was profiled in The Green Book Magazine in an article named "She Created Her Own Job". Murphy turned her newspaper journalism into a consultancy, and gave herself the title of Home-Economics Consultant and Advisory Counsel. Some offsetting from wrappers to text block, otherwise clean and bright. Foot of spine lightly bumped, and with some pulling of wrapper at foot; wrapper lightly soiled, otherwise very good.
