Squarish octavo, 28 pages. First edition. A children's cookbook with graphic recipes. Each item – measurements and ingredients – is given in text and in pictographic form. So spoons, cups, water, sugar, butters, vanilla, etc., are each shown as illustrations. The author wrote a number of children's cookbooks, including Jane-Louise' Cook Book, and The Alphabet that was Good to Eat. The cover illustration, of a young girl rolling out dough, is by the great American illustrator, Jessie Wilcox Smith. In illustrated, paper-covered boards.
