Octavo, (23 x 15.5 cm.), 178 pages. Table of contents. Index to supplement. Cover illustrated with a linoleum cut by Olive Leonhardt. Stated seventeenth edition; originally published 1933. A popular and long-published New Orleans cookbook, with many attributed recipes. Through at least the fourteenth edition, this book listed Natalie Scott as an author, alongside Caroline Merrick Jones. Scott's name was dropped, and now appears in the Acknowledgments, along with the names of other recipe contributors. Introduction by the early advice columnist Dorothy Dix. Fine in stiff illustrated wrappers. With the bright yellow, printed belly band, with closed tear at spine, but scarce thus.
