An important monograph on the salmon, which includes a chronological history of Salmon fishing in New England and a bibliography of the salmon of New England. Each of the eleven fish depicted in the beautiful color plates were taken in Maine: from Sebago Lake, the Penobscott River, off of the Cape Elizabeth Light, or in Grand Lake, and each was painted by Portland artist Walter H. Rich. Full green cloth; a bit dusty but otherwise fine.
