Compilation attributed to Jennie Mathers, printer, and imprint date, all from T.E. Johnson in Random Notes, Maine Library Association Bulletin, vol. 22, page 20. A short and simple Shaker cookbook with cakes, cookies, meats, soups, leftovers, pies, pickles and salads. Sabbathday Lake, founded in the 1780s, is the last active Shaker community, with three living members as of this cataloguing. Lightly stained and soiled, in publisher's stapled, titled red card stock covers, backed by red cloth. Some light soiling throughout. Near very good. Scarce.
