Small stapled booklet (12.5 x 8.5cm), 62, [2] pages. Original printing. A later issue in this series of promotional cocktail manuals from Sloppy Joe's, the popular destination of thirsty Americans during Prohibition and after. The cover features a portrait of Jose Abeal y Otero, the namesake of the bar. After nearly fifty years inactive, the bar reopened in its original location in 2013. The rear panel of the wrapper features a color illustration of the interior of the bar which appears on the front and rear wrappers of earlier issues. A bit of rusting to staples, otherwise near fine. [OCLC locates no copies of this year's printing of the manual; one copy each of two other issues (1934 and 1936)].
