The "Daily Mail" Cookery Book is the outcome of the "Daily Mail" Food Bureau, which in one year issued to its readers 268,289 recipes. In her introduction, Mrs. Peel cites the resourcefulness needed during the "Great War" and how it has resulted in a nation of better and more resourceful cooks.
