The South American Cook Book. Including Central America, Mexico and the West Indies.

New York: Doubleday, Doran & Co. 1939.

Octavo, 368 pages. First edition. The Latin American (and Brazilian and Caribbean) offering from the prolific Browns. In the years before Brown joined his sister and mother to write the cookbooks, he was editor of a successful business journal in Brazil, and traveled throughout South America. He also known for his work as an avant-garde poet, and for his invention of a "reading machine" which some have called the precursor of the e-book. Small mark from an adhesive sticker to front paste down, otherwise very good, in publisher's orange pictorial cloth.

Price: $75.00
