Originally titled Apicius Redivivus, this was one of the most popular early 19th century cookbooks, both in England and America. Contains a number of ketchup recipes, and the recipe for Wow-Wow Sauce, for which Kitchiner is credited as the inventor. A bit of staining and chipping to the first few leaves, otherwise age toned but very good. Rebound half-brown calf, with pale blue paper covered boards. [Lowenstein 92].
