A late American herbal of both garden and wild plants, collected and drawn from life by Walter Conrad Muenscher, Professor of Botany at Cornell University. All of the plants were grown or gathered in the vicinity of Ithaca, NY. this deluxe edition was illustrated and printed by sculptor, wood engraver, and botanical illustrator Elfriede Abbe (1919-2012).Her wood engravings are in the collections of Cornell University, Yale University and Carnegie-Mellon University.
