This January and February, we're busy moving Rabelais from the shop in Portland to a new larger office space in Biddeford, Maine, a dozen miles away. Two slim volumes. Octavos, 32 pages + 4 ads; & 32 pages 2 ads. With six steel engraved illustrations of equipment in the text, and additional charts and tables. A practical explanation of brewing ingredients, equipment and processes. Two additional volumes were issued in 1834. Previous owner's name in ink to title page. Offsetting to first and final pages of text block, otherwise internally near fine. In later, but contemporary brown paper wrappers, with hand lettered label to each. Edges of wrappers of both volumes worn. [Worldcat locates only two copies of volumes 1+2].
