Small octavo, 64 pages. An early printing of this little promotional book from the Walter Baker Company. Originally published in 1909, this edition includes the first appearance of the story of the "La Belle Chocolatiere" - the image of the girl which appears on the Walter Baker promotional materials. As with most of Baker's marketing materials, this booklet is beautifully printed, with embossed and chromolithographed wrappers, and gold and silver inks in some of the interior illustrations. A fine copy. In the very rare printed card stock envelope with an image of "La Belle C." on one side and a facsimile of a package of Breakfast Cocoa on the other, also embossed and chromolithographed. The flap of the envelope is torn, but the front and rear panels are very good or better. Scarce in the printed envelope.
