This January and February, we're busy moving Rabelais from the shop in Portland to a new larger office space in Biddeford, Maine, a dozen miles away. While we get set up in the new space, we're temporarily not selling online. Once we're all organized and the boxes unpacked, we'll be up online with even more great culinary books. After five years at a great location in Portland's East End, Rabelais has pulled up stakes to move to a much larger location in the North Dam Mill in Biddeford, just 20 minutes south of Portland. The new space will easily house our large collection of rare, used and new books with better organization and easier access to the materials. We're adding a test kitchen as well, where we can try out recipes from books new and ancient, in search of the tastiest dishes. We'll open the new space in early Spring 2012. Keep tuned to our blog and website for updates on the grand opening. .
